Changes to the Battle Pass

Server downtime

Whether you’re waiting for the latest map, a new battle pass, or an update to weapon balance, you can expect a lot of new content. However, if you’re one of the many players who’s been waiting for the next update, you may need to wait for a few hours before you’re able to get back to your favorite mode.
While a new season is expected to bring a whole host of new content, there’s a chance that the servers will be down for a period of time during the launch. Normally, the downtime will last for about two hours. During downtime, you won’t be able to play the game at all. That’s why it’s important to stay offline until the maintenance is completed.
A Fortnite server downtime is usually due to an event that occurs in the game. For instance, when the Season 2 finale took place, the game went down for 18 hours. In addition, the Fortnite Battle Royale’s Operation: Sky Fire also caused downtime. It was only after the event was over that the servers came back online.
Epic Games has announced that there will be a Fortnite server downtime on Sunday, March 20. According to the company’s Twitter account, the downtime will take place between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM ET.
